Air Conditioning
To turn on system select Heat or Cool and make sure fan is set to Auto. Use the up and down arrows to adjust temperature. Do not set Cool lower than 70 degrees or Heat above 80 degrees as it may cause the system to stop working.

Coffee Maker
Insert filter pack and fill the water in the top opening by lifting the lid and then closing the lid. Select Brew and press on/off.

Dishwasher
Fill main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with dishwashing powder provided and push closed. Close door and turn or push button to desired wash. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.

Fire Extinguisher
Locate the fire extinguisher inside the utility room with washer and dryer in villas). Pull the pin and squeeze handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire. CALL 911

Garbage Disposal
Run water and turn on the garbage disposal switch located on the wall behind the sink. Do not put your fingers into the drain/disposal. Do not put metal, glass, bones, tobacco, eggshells or greasy items into the disposal.

Ice Maker
To make ice, place the switch to the on position. To turn off ice maker, place the switch to the off position.

Iron
Fill with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Do not iron on beds, tables or floor.

Microwave
Do not place cups of water, foil, metal or plastic inside the microwave. Enter desired minutes and press start.

Oven
Place food inside on middle rack. (Do not place paper products or plastic inside the oven). Turn knobs or press button to set desired temperature and press start.

Shower
Twist handle located underneath shower head to turn on shower. Rotate clockwise/counter clockwise to adjust temperature.

Lost and Found

Mail and Messages
Mail received at the resort may be collected by either calling or stopping by Guest Services. For telephone messages, follow the instructions on your in-room telephone plate. You can drop outgoing mail at Guest Services.

Parking
A two-car garage per 3- or 4-bedroom villa or a one-car garage assigned per 2-bedroom villa. Additional parking can be found on the east end of the property or in front of building 11.

Transportation
A listing of local transportation companies can be found under the “local info” tab. You may also call Guest Services to arrange transportation to local area attractions.

Trash Pickup
To schedule trash removal, please contact Guest Services.  There are dumpsters located throughout the property.  One at the East end, and one at the West end.

Key Card
Should you lose your key card, please notify Guest Services immediately so that your lock may be re-coded. For your safety and security, I.D. will be required to have a new key made. Please return your key card to Guest Services upon check-out.

Pet Policy
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at The Club at Big Bear Village. But we do understand they are like family. Please contact Guest Services for information about pet boarding.

The Club at Big Bear Village is pleased to offer a variety of resort amenities to make your vacation experience even more enjoyable.

Seasonal Outdoor Heated Pool | 8 am – 11 pm
Located in the courtyard. Children under the ageof 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No glass containers are permitted in the pool or pool deck area. Please be aware there is no lifeguard on duty.

Hot Tub | 8 am – 11 pm
Located in the courtyard. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No glass containers are permitted in the hot tub area.

Fitness Center | 8 am – 11 pm
Located in the clubhouse. Consult your physician prior to beginning any exercise program.

Billiards Room | 8 am – 11 pm
Located in the clubhouse. Must be 18 years of age to enter and play.

Kids’ Room | 8 am – 11 pm
Located in the clubhouse with fun games for all ages.

Quiet Hours | 10 pm – 8 am

Inside Your Villa

• Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your villa.
• Do not allow strangers into your villa. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to Resort Management.
• Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures. Ensure that they have knowledge of your villa number and location.

Keys

• Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your villa keys to others.
• Return your keys to the front desk at check out.

Fire Safety

• Upon arrival, please locate your fire extinguisher in the laundry room
• Locate the fire exits (inside and outside your villa). Make sure everyone in your group knows those locations.
• Familiarize yourself and your group with the resort fire evacuation plan and agree on a meeting place where you can account for everyone in your group.
• Ensure that all key card holders keep their cards with them at all times.
• To operate the fire extinguisher, pull the pin and squeeze the handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.
• First call: The fire department (9 + 911, or 911 on your cell phone).
• Second call: Front Desk at 909.878.2700. Identify yourself and your location and briefly describe the situation.
• If you are in a public area, calmly leave through the nearest exit. If outside, evacuate to a location that provides a safe distance between yourself, your family and the location of the fire.
• If you are inside your villa, touch the villa door. If it is hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If the door is cool, brace your shoulder against the door and open it slowly. Be prepared to close it quickly if flames or smoke are on the other side.
• If you are able to leave your villa, remind everyone of the agreed-upon meeting place, take your key, close the door behind you.
• Use the nearest stairwell or fire exit. DO NOT TAKE THE ELEVATOR.
• Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to odorless carbon monoxide and smoke.

If you cannot leave your villa please follow these steps

• If neither landlines nor cell service is available, signal to those outside your villa that you are inside by hanging a sheet from your window.
• Turn off the air-conditioner.
• Fill the bathtub with water.
• Place wet sheets around the door-jam. Block/Cover any vents that are emitting smoke.
• Open the windows ONLY If you are certain you are letting in fresh air.
• If the walls are hot, bail them with water. Use your trash cans to cool them.
• If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep your nose and mouth covered with a wet cloth.
• DO NOT JUMP unless instructed by fire safety officials prepared to catch you. Otherwise continue the actions prescribed above and signal from your window for help.

iHOME
Located on the night stand in your bedroom.

Alarm Instructions: To wake to your iPhone/iPod it must be properly docked and off (not in play mode) or alarm will not sound.

Steps:

1. Press and hold the clock icon button for two seconds until the display flashes.

2. Press the Hour Button until the desired alarm hour is display

3. Press the Minute Button to set the desired alarm minute. Remember to set the correct AM or PM if you are using the 12 hour format.

4. Press the Clock Button again to exit the setting mode. You should hear two beeps indicating the alarm is set.

5. To snooze during the alarm, press the Snooze/Dimmer Button. The alarm will be silenced for nine minutes, then come on again

6. To turn the alarm off, press the Alarm/Reset Button. The alarm will come again the next day at the same time

7. If the alarm is not turned off after it sounds, it will play for approximately one hour then turn off automatically. This cycle will repeat every 24 hours unless the controls are changed.

_{Note: If there is no iphone/ipod present or there is no music detected on the iPhone/iPod at alarm time, the iHOME iP21 will automatically switch to buzzer alarm. Make sure to adjust the volume level for comfortable wake up volume. When the alarm is sounding, the Alarm Icon will flash.}

Listening to your iPhone/iPod 
Dock the already playing iPhone/iPod. The iP21 will automatically turn on and you will hear the music playing from your iPhone/iPod. The iPhone/iPod Icon will appear at the right lower corner display, indicating iPhone/iPod playing mode. For enhanced bass, press the EXB Expanded Base Switch located on the back of the unit to ON.

_{Note: If the playing song/music loudness is too low on the iPhone/iPod itself, the iP21may not detect that the iPhone/iPod is in play mode. Press the button again on the iP21 to play it.}

When the iPhone/iPod is docked and in standby mode, press the >II Button on the iP21 to play it. The iPhone/iPod will appear at the right lower corner the display, indicating iPhone/iPod playing mode.
Press the >II Button again to pause; press again to resume play.
Press the Raise Volume Button and the Lower Volume Button on the iP21 to adjust the system volume.
To turn the iP21 OFF, press the Power Button on the iP21. Your iPhone/iPod will continue charging while in the dock.
