Air Thermostat
Select system for heat or cold and press up or down for desired temperature. To circulate air, select fan or select auto for temperature as needed. Do not turn A/C below 70 degrees F as it may cause the A/C to malfunction and stop working. Do not leave any doors open as this will cause the air conditioner to malfunction.Alarm Clock
To set the clock, locate the SET CLOCK button either on the back of the clock or on the top, depending on the model. Press and hold the SET CLOCK button until the display flashes. Use the arrow buttons to set the time. To set the alarm, press and hold SET ALARM button until the display time blinks, release hold, use clock tuning buttons to set alarm to desired time. Press and release SET CLOCK/ALARM button again when complete.Blender (in units with Full Kitchens only)
Place blender container in base, place liquid or soft ingredients into blender and place the lid on securely. Press the desired settings on the panel to start.Coffee Maker
Open top of coffee maker. Place pack of coffee provided for 10 cups in basket and fill reservoir located on the right side of the coffee maker with water and close lid. Set knob on BREW and push in for ON. To open, (unlock) the top of coffee carafe, turn lid to the right, to close (lock) the top of the coffee carafe, turn lid to the left. Please call the Front Desk if you need assistance.Dishwasher (in units with Full Kitchens only)
Open dishwasher: place dishes on racks, fill main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with dishwashing powder and slide closed. Close front door and turn button to desired wash. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.Fireplace (in select units only)
Fireplaces are available for use from September 1 – April 30. During this time, the pilot light remains lit at all times. To turn on the flame in the fireplace, you will either flip the light switch on the wall to the side of the fireplace or turn the knob directly on the fireplace, depending on the model. Pilot lights tend to get blown out, so if your fireplace is not working or if you need any assistance turning your fireplace on, please call the Front Desk and we will have someone come assist you.Fire Extinguisher

Hair Dryers are available in all guest rooms. It is stored in a black bag in the closet or shelf with your extra towels. Press the switch to the ON position 1 or 2. Position 1 is low, position 2 is for medium and position 3 is for high.Iron
Fill the iron with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Do not iron on beds, tables or floors.Microwave

Arrival & Parking Information
The valet area on East Bay Street is a temporary parking area for loading and unloading only. We ask that you do not leave your car in this area for more than 15 minutes. If you are valet parking, please make sure to leave your keys with a Bellman or at the Front Desk during your stay.We do not have a private parking lot at the Lodge Alley Inn. Parking is very limited in Charleston. The Inn leases parking spaces from a City of Charleston public parking garage.
We offer valet parking at a rate of $40/night for Owners and $50/night for non-Owners. Guests with a valid handicap decal placard are able to self-park for free in any Charleston public parking garage or metered space. Guests with a handicap decal placard wishing to valet their vehicle are subject to the same owner/non-owner rates as guests without a handicap decal placard. Self-parking for non-handicap decal placard owners and non-owners is also available.
**Parking rates are subject to change without notice! The Lodge Alley Inn accepts NO responsibility for damage occurring to valet parked vehicles. Valet parking is at owner’s risk! We are unable to accommodate over-sized vehicles (over 7′ high). Motorcycles and trailers are also not permitted.

If, for any reason, our cleanliness does not meet your satisfaction, please contact the Front Desk so that we may correct any deficiencies. We do not provide complimentary daily maid service, but offer the following options:
- Guests staying seven (7) days or more receive a complimentary mid-week clean. Mid-week cleans are done on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Please let the Front Desk know when you would like your unit to be cleaned and if you would like it cleaned at a specific time.
- Guests staying less than seven (7) days may receive one complimentary towel exchange at any time during their stay.
- Additional towel exchanges are available for a fee of $5.00 per exchange
- If you would like a Full Service Clean during your stay, please contact the Front Desk.
- Full Service Clean for units with a Full Kitchen: $40.00

Upon check-in, each reservation requires a major credit card. A $100.00 pre-authorization will be taken for each reservation. Please note that using a debit card for the pre-authorization may restrict the use of those funds for up to 10 business days, or until your banking institution releases the hold. If you prefer to pay your incidental charges with your debit card, we recommend using a credit card for the pre-authorization and then paying with your debit card at check-out.

Key Card
Should you lose your Key Card, or it becomes deactivated, please notify the Front Desk immediately so that your lock may be re-coded. The Lodge Alley Inn does not have a private parking area. We use leased parking spaces from a City of Charleston public parking garage. Valet parking is recommended, as it is the most affordable and the most convenient way to park. Valet parking is $33/night for Owners and $38/night for non-Owners, effective 2/4/2022. *Parking rates are subject to change without notice* Guests with a valid Handicapped Decal can self-park at no charge in any city parking garage or at any meter. Guests with a handicap decal wishing to valet are subject to the same valet rates as owners ($33/night) and non-owners ($38/night). Because we use a public parking garage and cannot control what happens in the garage while your car is parked there, we accept no responsibility for damage occurring to vehicles that are valet parked. Please speak with a Manager if you have questions or concerns about this. We cannot accept over-sized vehicles (over 7′ tall), trailers, RVs, or cars with roof-top carriers. - We offer two options for WIFI at the Lodge Alley Inn:
- Complimentary WIFI: NO CHARGE
- Most guests find this to be sufficient for their needs (checking and sending email with small attachments, surfing the web, etc)
- Upgraded WIFI: $7.95 for 24 hour
- You may need to select this option if you need to upload large files, send large email attachments, or stream video. WIFI service is provided by Blueprint. If you experience problems connecting your device or need assistance, please call our dedicated Help Line at 1-877-530-0820.
- If you take your phone or device out of the WIFI coverage area, you may have to log in again when you return.
- The Lobby is also equipped with WIFI. Choose Bluegreen Lobby network. Open internet browser. The password is: bluegreen (all lowercase). Click Submit.

Off-site valet parking. Effective 01/01/2024, $40 per night for Bluegreen Owners; $50 per night for non-Bluegreen Owners.. Handicap parking in the Concord Garage (city public parking) located at 1 Cumberland St., or metered street parking, with a valid sticker or placard is free, however the owner must park their own vehicle. One vehicle per reservation.
- If someone with a handicap placard or sticker wishes to valet, they are subject to the same Owner/Non-Owner daily rates.
Owners and guests may self-park in the city public parking garage located at 1 Cumberland St. for $2/hour, max $18/day without moving the vehicle. After midnight or when the vehicle is moved out and back into the garage, the clock resets and $2/hour, max $18/day rate begins. No trailers, RVs, motorcycles, or oversized vehicles allowed. This facility has 2 entrances, enter on Cumberland or enter on Cone St. City public parking phone: (843) 805-3232.

- Do not allow strangers into your villa. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to the Resort Manager.

- Make sure to lock your vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them in your trunk out of sight. The resort is a “Park at Your Own Risk” property.

Keys
- Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your villa keys to others.
- Return your key(s) to the Front Desk when you check out.
On and Off the Property
- Never leave your wallet, keys or purse unattended.
- Ask our associates for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.
- Instead of carrying cash, use a credit card or traveler’s check when making large purchases. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
- If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to Resort Management.
- Pay attention to when and where you are walking or parking. Be aware of your surroundings.
Fire Safety
- Upon arrival please locate your fire extinguisher. Depending on your unit type, it can be found inside your kitchen closet, mounted to the wall, under the sink, or mounted to the wall in the closet area of units without kitchens.
- Locate the fire alarm and all exits (inside and outside your villa). Make sure everyone in your group knows those locations.
- Familiarize yourself and your group with the resort fire evacuation plan and agree on a meeting place where you can account for everyone in your group. The Courtyard area is recommended.
- Ensure that all Key Card holders keep their cards with them at all times.
- Add the external resort phone number (843.722.1611) to your cellphone contacts.
- To operate the fire extinguisher, pull the pin and squeeze the handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.
- First call: The fire department (9 + 911 from room phone, or 911 on your cellphone).
- Second call: Front Desk, ext. 0. Identify yourself and your location and briefly describe the situation.
- If you are in a public area, calmly leave through the nearest exit.
- If you are inside your villa, touch the villa door. If it is hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If the door is cool, brace your shoulder against the door and open it slowly. Be prepared to close it quickly if flames or smoke are on the other side.
- If you are able to leave your villa, remind everyone of the agreed upon meeting place, take your key, close the door behind you and sound the nearest alarm.
- Use the nearest stairwell or fire exit.
- Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to odorless carbon monoxide.
If you can not leave your room please follow these steps:
- If neither landlines nor cell service is available, signal to those outside your room that you are inside by hanging a sheet from your balcony handrail.
- Turn off the air-conditioner.
- Place wet sheets around the doorjamb. Block any vents that are emitting smoke.
- Open the windows ONLY if you are certain you are letting in fresh air.
- If the walls are hot, splash them with water. Use your ice bucket to cool them.
- If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep your nose and mouth covered with a wet cloth.
- DO NOT JUMP unless instructed by fire safety officials prepared to catch you. Otherwise continue the actions prescribed above and signal from your window for help.

…VISITED THE STRAW MARKET
Open 364 days a year (closed on Christmas Day), the Market is just two blocks away and features an open air market where vendors sell just about anything you can imagine! Jewelry, sweetgrass baskets, unique Charleston memorabilia, hats, clothing and much more!
…TAKEN A CARRIAGE TOUR
Horse-drawn carriage tours are a fun way to get a good overview of Charleston history while you ride through some of the most beautiful streets in the city. About an hour long, the carriage tour drivers are extremely knowledgeable and great story tellers. Reservations are not required. Just head over to North Market Street and hop on!
…TAKEN THE FERRY TO FORT SUMTER
Twice daily, you can take the ferry over to Fort Sumter, located in the Charleston Harbor and tour the fort where the Civil War began. Tickets can be purchased at our Preview Center. Check with the Concierge for tour times and more information.
…WALKED THE BATTERY
If you follow East Bay Street heading south (turn right when you walk out of our main entrance) you will arrive at the Battery in just a few minutes. On your walk there, look for the Old Exchange building, on your left, and Rainbow Row, on your right. When you get to the Battery and White Point Gardens, you will know. Stroll along the sea wall and take in the beautiful views of the harbor and catch a glimpse of Fort Sumter. Keep walking around the bend and you will see some of the most beautiful historic homes in the country.

Head over to King Street for world-class shopping! Antiques, jewelry, clothing, toys, shoes, memorabilia, and just about anything you could wish for!
