For your comfort, we have set up AC to 75 F. Do not set the A/C temperature below 68 F as it may cause the A/C to stop working. Please maintain all doors & windows closed for proper AC functioning.Clothes Washer

Fill main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with dish washing powder or tabs provided and slide closed. Close door and turn button to desired wash. Slide the lever to start the dishwasher. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.Ice Maker
To make ice, place the lever to the on position. To turn off ice maker, place the lever to the off position.Iron
Fill with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Please do not iron on beds, tables or floor.Microwave
Do not place cups of water, foil, metal or plastic inside the microwave. Select a temperature between 1 and 11, enter desired minutes and press start. For automatic time, press cook-time, press hour button up/down, and press start time.Oven
Place food inside on middle rack. (Do not place paper products or plastic inside the oven). Set desired temperature and press start. For timed cook, press cook time, press hour button up/down, and press start time up/down.Shower
Pull the handle underneath the waterspout and twist to turn the shower on to desired temperature.Fire Extinguisher
Locate the fire extinguisher (located underneath the counter in the kitchen). Pull the pin and squeeze handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire. CALL 911Watch All Your Favorite Shows!

The Florida Green Lodging Program is unique in that it covers an all-inclusive list of environmental initiatives that are specific to the Florida environment. Here at Solara Surfside we have many Green practices in place which gives you the opportunity to participate as well.
Water Conservation
We have low flow faucets, toilets and showerheads in all rooms. If you want to exchange dirty pool towels, leave them at the Front Desk and request clean towels. If you need clean bathroom towels this is available upon request. You can help us conserve water during your stay by reusing your towels.Energy Efficiency
We use Energy Star-rated equipment. We also have programmable thermostats in every unit of our property. Also, all of our lighting is high energy LED efficient lighting. You can help us stay energy efficient by turning off all lights and appliances when leaving your room.Recycling
Recyclable materials are newspapers, magazines, steel and aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard, and white office paper. If you would like to recycle these items, we have placed a blue recycle bin under your sink in order to separate this from your regular trash. We also have large recycle receptacles, for larger items, located in the trash chute on the West side of the hallway.Clean Air Practices
We use environmentally friendly cleaners as well as environmentally preferable High Energy Particulate Air Filters. Key Card
Should you lose your Key Card, please notify the Guest Services immediately so that your lock may be re-coded. For your safety and security, I.D. will be required to have a new key made. Although we are a nonsmoking resort, we offer specific areas where smoking is allowed. Rooms’ balconies, West stairways, valet area and BBQ area. Valet Services
We offer Valet Service as our only on-site parking option. For your convenience and safety, our Valet staff will park and retrieve your vehicle during your stay. Dial 0 before coming down to the lobby and we will have your vehicle ready waiting for you.Resort Pool and Hot Tub
Located on the south side of the resort overlooking the beach. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. No glass containers are permitted in the pool, hot tub or pool deck area. Guest Services has plastic cups available for use.Fitness Room

- Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your villa.
- Do not allow strangers into your villa. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to Guest Services or Resort Manager.
- Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures.
Keys
- Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your villa keys to others.
- Please return your key(s) to Guest Services when you check out.
On and Off the Property
- Never leave your wallet, keys or purse unattended while at the pool/BBQ area.
- Ask our associates for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.
- Instead of carrying cash, use a credit card when making large purchases. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
- If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to Guest Services or Resort Management.
- Pay attention to when and where you are walking or parking. Be aware of your surroundings.
Fire Safety
- Upon arrival please locate your fire extinguisher. It can be found beneath the kitchen counter.
- Locate the fire alarm and all exits (inside and outside your villa). Make sure everyone in your group knows those locations.
- Familiarize yourself and your group with the resort fire evacuation plan and agree on a meeting place where you can account for everyone in your group. The back parking volleyball court is recommended.
- Ensure that all Key Card holders keep their cards with them at all times.
- Add the external resort phone number (305.868.9994) to your cellphone contacts.
- To operate the fire extinguisher, pull the pin and squeeze the handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.
- First call: The fire department (911 on your cellphone).
- Second call: Guest Service desk, ext. 0. Identify yourself and your location and briefly describe the situation.
- If you are in a public area, calmly leave through the nearest exit.
- If you are inside your villa, touch the villa door. If it is hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If the door is cool, brace your shoulder against the door and open it slowly. Be prepared to close it quickly if flames or smoke are on the other side.
- If you are able to leave your villa, remind everyone of the agreed upon meeting place, take your key, close the door behind you and sound the nearest alarm.
- Use the nearest stairwell or fire exit. DO NOT TAKE THE ELEVATOR.
- Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to odorless carbon monoxide.
If you can not leave your room please follow these steps:
- If neither landlines nor cell service is available, signal to those outside your room that you are inside by hanging a sheet from your balcony handrail.
- Turn off the air-conditioner.
- Place wet sheets around the doorjamb. Block any vents that are emitting smoke.
- Open the windows ONLY if you are certain you are letting in fresh air.
- If the walls are hot, splash them with water. Use your ice bucket to cool them.
- If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep your nose and mouth covered with a wet cloth.
- DO NOT JUMP unless instructed by fire safety officials prepared to catch you. Otherwise continue the actions prescribed above and signal from your window for help.
