Air Conditioner
Press the On/Off and set to your desired temperature. Do not set the A/C temperature below 70 F as it may cause the A/C to stop working. If any door is ajar, the air conditioner will turn off automatically.

Alarm Clock
Press alarm set, adjust alarm time, wake (choose buzz, iPod or USB) to confirm alarm is on/off.

Dishwasher
Fill the main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with one packet of detergent per load and slide closed. Close the door and turn the button to desired wash. Slide the lever to start the dishwasher. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.

Iron
Fill with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Do not iron on beds, tables or the floor.

Microwave
Do not place cups of water, foil, metal or plastic inside the microwave. Select a temperature between 1 and 11, enter the desired minutes and press start. For automatic time, press cook-time, press the hour button up/down and press start time up/down.

Oven
Place food inside on middle rack. (Do not place paper products or plastic inside the oven). Turn knobs to set the desired temperature and press start. For timed cooking, press cook time, press the hour button up/down, and press the start time up/down.

Hair Dryer
Press the switch to the ON position to 1 or 2. Position 1 is low and position 2 is high.

Concierge Services can be found in the lobby area. The associate on duty will be pleased to assist with purchasing attraction tickets, booking tours and making dinner recommendations. Please ask about local events or music, as there is always something wonderful going! Dial 0.

Keys
Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your villa keys to others.
Return your keys to Guest Services at check-out.

Recycle and trash rooms are located on the 1st levels of Building 1 and Building 2.

Mail and Messages
Mail received at the resort may be collected by stopping by Guest Services. For telephone messages, follow the instructions on your in-room telephone plate. You can drop outgoing mail at Guest Services.

Transportation
A listing of local transportation companies can be found under the “area info” tab. You may also call Guest Services at ext. 0 to arrange transportation to local area attractions.

Many items that you may need for your stay with us are available upon request. A few items are: toothbrushes, tooth paste, pots and pans, bowls and pitchers. This list is not all-inclusive so please feel free to ask for any item not listed.

For questions regarding housekeeping services, room inventory or complimentary cribs, please contact Guest Services at Ext 0. We do not provide complimentary daily maid service.

Laundry
Guest laundry is located on the 4^th floor of the main building as well as the 2^nd and 4^th floor of the Building 2. Be careful not to overload the machine. Detergent is available at Guest Services. Use one small box of detergent per load.  Set load size and desired Wash/Rinse temperatures. Push the knob, scroll to desired settings, then pull the knob to start the wash. Please clean the lint trap in the clothes dryer after each use.

Should you lose your key card, please notify Guest Services immediately so that your lock may be re-coded. For your safety and security, ID will be required to have a new key made. Please return your key card to the front desk upon check out.

Pet Policy
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at South Mountain Resort, however, we do understand they are like family. Please contact Guest Services for information about pet boarding.

Smoking
South Mountain Resort is non-smoking.  Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the building.

Located on the 1st level of the Resort. No one under the age of 16 is permitted to use any fitness equipment. Proper attire is required. Please consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program.

Located at our indoor pool.

BBQ Grills
Located by the outdoor pool. Please return the grill area to its original condition when finished.

Inside Your Villa

• Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your villa.
• Do not allow strangers into your villa. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to Security and Resort Management.
• Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures. Ensure that they have knowledge of your villa number and location.
• Make sure to lock your vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them in your trunk out of sight. The resort is a “Park at Your Own Risk” property.

On and Off the Property

• Never leave your wallet, keys, purse, or other valuables unattended while at the pool.
• Ask our staff for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.
• Instead of carrying cash, we recommend that you use a credit card or traveler’s check when making large purchases. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
• If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to Security and Resort Management.
• Always be aware of your surroundings. Pay attention to where you walk or park and make note of the time of day.

Fire Safety

• Upon arrival, please locate your fire extinguisher beneath the kitchen counter.
• Locate the fire exits (inside and outside your villa). Make sure everyone in your group knows those locations.
• Familiarize everyone in your group with the resort fire evacuation plan and agree on a meeting place. That way, you can account for everyone in your group.
• Ensure that people responsible for key cards keep their cards with them at all times.
• Add the external resort phone number (603.745.9300) to your cell phone contacts.
• To operate the fire extinguisher, pull the pin and squeeze the handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.
• First call: The fire department (8 + 911, or 911 on your cell phone).
• Second call: Security, dial 0. Identify yourself and your location and briefly describe the situation.
• If you are in a public area, calmly leave through the nearest exit. If outside, evacuate to a location that provides a safe distance between yourself, your family and the location of the fire.
• If you are inside your villa, touch the villa door. If it is hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If the door is cool, brace your shoulder against the door and open it slowly. Be prepared to close it quickly if flames or smoke are on the other side.
• If you are able to leave your villa, remind everyone of the agreed-upon meeting place, take your key, close the door behind you and sound the nearest alarm by pulling a pull-station.
• Use the nearest stairwell or fire exit. DO NOT TAKE THE ELEVATOR.
• If you cannot leave your room, crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to odorless carbon monoxide and smoke.
• If neither landlines nor cell service is available, signal to those outside your room that you are inside by hanging a sheet from your window.
• Turn off the air-conditioner.
• Fill the bathtub with water.
• Place wet sheets around the door-jam. Block/cover any vents that are emitting smoke.
• Open the windows ONLY if you are certain you are letting in fresh air.
• If the walls are hot, fill your ice bucket and bail them with water to cool.
• If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep your nose and mouth covered with a wet cloth.
• DO NOT JUMP unless instructed by fire safety officials prepared to catch you. Otherwise, continue the actions described above and signal from your window for help.

Lift top and insert a coffee filter (if using loose grounds). Otherwise, open supplied packet of coffee and place contents in coffee maker. Then, fill water tank, close lid and press on/off.
