Air Thermostat
Press On/Off then press left or right for desired temperature. Make sure the unit is in cool position/heat position, whichever you desire (75º F – 77º F is a cool temperature.) Do not turn A/C below 75º F as it may cause the A/C to malfunction and stop working. Do not leave any doors open as this will cause the air conditioner to malfunction.
Alarm Clock
To set the alarm, turn selector on top of Radio to Set Alarm, hold button for hour and minutes to desired time. Select the side alarm button to Radio or Buzzer.
Blender
Sit blender container in base, place liquid or soft ingredients into blender and place the lid on securely. Press the desired settings on the panel to start.
Coffee Maker
Open top of coffee maker. Place filter pack of coffee provided for 10 cups in holder and fill reservoir with water and close lid. Set knob on BREW and push in for ON. To open, (unlock) the top of coffee carafe, turn lid to the right, to close (lock) the top of the coffee carafe, turn lid to the left.
Washer and Dyers
All villas are furnished with washer and dryer. Full-size washer and dryers are located in the laundry room of all patio homes. Washer and dryers are located in the closet behind the guest bathroom door in the 2-bedroom lodge villas.
Dishwasher
Open dishwasher; place dishes on racks, fill main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with dishwashing powder and slide closed. Close front door and turn button to desired wash. Slide the lever to start the dishwasher. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.
Fire Extinguisher
Locate the fire extinguisher (underneath the kitchen sink cabinet, front entryway closet, upstairs patio). Pull the pin and squeeze handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire. CALL 911 and Guest Services at ext. 0.
Hair-dryer
Hair-dryers are located underneath the sink cabinet in all bathrooms. Remove hair-dryer from the bag. Press the switch to the ON position 1 or 2. Position 1 is low, position 2 is for medium and position 3 is for high.
Guest Bath Shower
Turn on water by pulling spout and set to desired temperature. Pull the ring above the waterspout to turn the shower on.
Ice Maker
There are two icemakers in the patio homes (1-in upstairs freezer and 1-downstairs in kitchenette) . Lodge villas have icemakers located inside the freezer. Bagged ice is available for purchase upon request.
Iron
Fill the iron with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Do not iron on beds, tables, or floors.
Microwave
Each microwave oven has the specific instructions inside for your convenience. Please follow the instructions provided within the microwave/oven. Do not place cups of water, foil, metal or plastic inside microwave. Please do not hesitate in contacting us at ext. 0 for further instructions if needed.
Oven
Open oven door and place food inside on middle rack. (Do not place paper products or plastic inside oven.) Turn knobs to set desired temperature. Please do not leave any cooking equipment unattended at any time.
Telephone
Pick up telephone to place or receive a call by pushing ‘talk’ button. See dialing instructions on the telephone.
Television
Press the power ON the television or remote. Press the channel up or down.
Toaster
Place toast or bagel into slots. Set desired color and push down lever. Toast will automatically pop up when ready. For one slice of toast, use the side of toaster labeled “one slice.”

Parking
Each registered guest will receive parking permits upon check-in. All vehicles are required to be parked in the garage or driveway (patio homes) and not on the roadways. Additional parking is available in the parking lot. Any vehicles in our parking lot without a permit will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense. No trailers or RVs are allowed. Please contact Guest Services with any questions pertaining to parking.
Pets
Sorry, pets are not permitted to stay at our resort. However, kennels are located nearby. Please contact Guest Services for details, Ext. 0. If evidence of a pet is found in your vacation home you will be subject to a $300.00 fee.
Smoking
We strictly enforce a no-smoking policy. A $300 cleaning fee will be applied if smell or evidence of smoke is present in your vacation home.

Trash

Key Card

Parking
Complimentary parking is available onsite. Please have parking pass visible in vehicle at all times when on property. Violators may be towed at the owner’s expense. Parking is limited to three vehicles per patio home, and are required to be parked in the garage or driveway. All additional vehicles will need to park in the overflow lot. Boats and trailers are permitted in designated area. RV’s are not permitted on property.
Pet Policy
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at The Cliffs™ at Long Creek. But we do understand they are like family. Please contact Guest Services for information about pet boarding.

Fitness Center
Located at the lodge on the first floor and is open 24/7. We have an additional fitness center located in the lower level of the Activities Center that is open daily 8am-8pm. Enjoy a selection of cardiovascular and weight machines to keep you fit. Consult your physician prior to beginning any exercise program.

Miniature Golf

Safety & Security
Welcome to your home away from home. Vacation is a time for fun and relaxation; however, just like at your home, safety and security begins with you. It is our goal that your time spent with us is enjoyable, which also means feeling safe and secure. Here are a few safety tips we’d like you to follow:
Inside Your Villa or Patio Home
• Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your villa or patio home.
• Do not allow strangers into your villa or patio home. If someone seems suspicious, dial Ext. 0 and/or report them to Guest Services.
• Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures.
• Be sure to lock your personal vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them in your trunk
out of sight. The Cliffs™ at Long Creek is not responsible for loss or damage to personal vehicles and belongings.
• If you require a “Sharps Container” please dial Ext. 0 and our staff will deliver one to your patio home.
• Please make sure to close your patio home garage door each night to keep out raccoons, skunks and other animals.
Keys
• Keep track of your key by carrying it with you at all times. Do not give it to others.
• Return your key to Guest Services at your check-out time.
On and Off the Property
• Never leave your wallet, keys or purse unattended while at the pool.
• Ask our staff for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.
• Instead of carrying cash, use a credit card or traveler’s check when making large purchases. Do not draw attention
to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
• If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial “0” and/or report it to management.
• Be aware of your surroundings. By paying attention to where you are walking or parking can help further ensure your safety.
• Please observe the posted speed limits at the resort.
• For your safety, do not climb on outdoor displays, rock formations, or landscape structures around the Resort.
Fire Safety
While a fire at our resort is extremely rare, we feel it is still very important for you and your family to be mindful of what precautions to take should an emergency arise. Plan your escape!
Upon Arrival
• If you have questions or concerns, contact Guest Services by dialing Ext. 0.
• Be aware of where the fire extinguisher and exits are located inside and outside of your patio home. Familiarize yourself with the resort fire evacuation plan.
• Keep your patio home key card at hand at all times.
Evacuation Procedure In Case of Fire
Remain calm. If you have a small kitchen fire, please use the fire extinguisher located under the kitchen sink. If the fire is beyond your control, please evacuate. If an evacuation is needed use designated fire exits (in patio homes use main entry or garage door) and proceed to a safe location.* Your safety is our main concern.
*Patio Homes on the lower level (1A-9B) have screen doors exiting the downstair’s patio, which may also be used as a possible evacuation route.
If you suspect a fire or smoke call Ext. 0 for Guest Services or in the event of an emergency, you may dial 911. Please evacuate the building using the following instructions:
• Before leaving your villa, feel the door to see if it is hot. If it appears safe, proceed to leave your villa.
• Please close door behind you. Be sure to take your room key with you as you may need to re-enter the villa if the evacuation path is blocked. Predetermine a meeting place so you will know all of your family is safe.
Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to smoke or odorless carbon monoxide.
• If you stay in your villa, make every effort to notify someone that you/your family are inside. If normal
communication to 911 or the resort is not available, signal to them by hanging a sheet from your window. Turn off
the air conditioner and fill the bathtub with water. Place wet sheets and towels around the door jam. Block any
vents that are emitting smoke. Only open the windows if you are sure you are letting in fresh air. If walls are hot, bail them with water.
• If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep a wet cloth over your nose and mouth.
• Do not jump. A fall from all the upper floors can cause serious injury; rather, continue to protect yourself from
the fire and signal from your window for help.
• If anyone is missing from your party please notify the fire department immediately.
• Please cooperate with any and all instructions that may come from the fire department staff, police and/or property management. They will let you know when it is safe to reenter the building.
• If you have a request for emergency assistance, please dial Ext. 0 and a Guest Services Associate will assist you.
We recommend that you practice the escape drill with your complete party!
Tornado/Severe Weather
When a Tornado Warning has been declared for Taney County, it is necessary to take shelter. When announced, you should take immediate cover and follow the appropriate precautions.
Weather can be monitored locally on channels 3 and 10, also Weather Channel 25 and KY3 Weather plus channel 130.
At the Lodge
Go to the lowest floor possible. Designated safe areas at the lodge are: 1st floor restrooms, Presidential lounge, and employee break room.
In your Patio Home
Go to the Theater Room in the lower level and close the door.
Important Information
Anyone caught outdoors during a tornado warning without time to make it to a “Safety Area” should: exit vehicle, lie down (away from power lines and trees) in a low spot, ditch, culvert or ravine and shield their head with their arms.
