Dear Bluegreen Owner,
Subject: Missing or Lost Person
Thank you for choosing to spend your vacation with us. We hope you enjoy your stay and take away many cherished memories to reminisce about for years to come. One of our top goals during your stay is the safety of you and your loved ones. Should a child or dependent adult become lost or missing, we would like you to be aware of the proper steps to take. The quicker you act, the better the chances of a faster recovery.
Code Adam
Code Adam is a nationally recognized missing child safety program in the United States and with participation from thousands of department stores, retail shops, shopping malls, supermarkets, amusement parks and museums. The program was named Code Adam in memory of a young child, Adam Walsh, who in 1981 was abducted in Florida. Adam’s father is John Walsh, co-founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and host of the television show “Americas Most Wanted.” Bluegreen is proud to add its name to the long list of those participating.
Your Course of Action
If you believe your child is missing, do not panic. Take action immediately. Search the area checking for crawl or hiding places. Children think hiding is a game and hiding places are limitless in the mind of a child.
If you cannot find your child after a thorough search, call Guest Services and report him/her missing. You will be asked to provide the following information:
Guest Services will immediately announce a Code Adam to the Code Adam Team as soon as they receive the report of a missing child. They will provide the team with all the information you have given them. All associates assigned to the Code Adam Team will immediately stop what they are doing and search for the child.
If the child is not found within 10 minutes of initiating the Code Adam, Guest Services will contact local law enforcement to request assistance.
We hope this issue never occurs, but we want you to know the appropriate steps to take and that we will be with you every step of the way.
Best wishes for a happy, memorable and safe vacation,
Management and Staff

Welcome to your home away from home. Vacation is a time for fun and relaxation. However, just like at your home, safety and security begins with you. It is our goal that you feel safe and secure while enjoying your time with us. Here are a few safety tips we’d like you to follow:
Inside Your Vacation Home
Keep the door locked when inside your vacation home and do not allow strangers in. If someone seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to Security or resort management. Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and basic safety procedures.
Make sure to lock your vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them in your trunk out of sight.
Keys
Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give them to others.
Return your keys to Guest Services at check-out time.
On and Off the Property
Never leave your wallet, keys, or purse unattended while at the pool.
Ask our staff for the most direct driving directions before preparing to travel to attractions.
Instead of carrying cash, use a credit card or traveler’s check when making large purchases. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to management.
Pay attention to when and where you are walking or parking. Be aware of your surroundings. For your safety, please do not climb on outdoor displays, rock formations, or landscape structures around the resort.
Parking
Please park oversized vehicles boat and trailers in the designed parking area. No repairs (other than necessary to repair a passenger vehicle) may be made on premises.
Smoking
Falls Village is a non-smoking resort. A fee will be levied for smoking in your Vacation Home.
The Falls Village is in Taney County.
When a TORNADO WARNING has been declared for Taney County, a funnel cloud has been sighted in the area. At this time you should take immediate cover and follow the appropriate tornado precautions.
Weather is monitored locally on channels 3 and 10. Weather is also monitored on a weather alert storm alarm radio.
TORNADO SAFETY AREAS
Vacation Home Building: go to any interior closet or any bathroom without windows.

If you have a request for emergency assistance, please dial “0” and a Front Desk Associate will assist you.

The following procedures should be followed in the event of a fire.
All Vacation Home Buildings
Fire Safety
While a fire at our resort is extremely rare, we feel it is still very important for you and your family to be mindful of what precautions to take should an emergency arise. Plan your escape!
In Case of Fire
Remain calm. First notify the fire department by calling 9 + 911 and notify Guest Services or the manager. Provide your name and location, with a brief description of the situation.
If you are able to leave your vacation home, take your key, close the door behind you and sound the nearest alarm. Predetermine a meeting place so you will know all of your family are safe.
If there is smoke in your vacation home, stay as low as possible and keep a wet cloth over your nose and mouth. Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to smoke or odorless carbon monoxide.
If you are in a public area when a fire starts, calmly leave through the nearest fire exit.
Upon Arrival
If you have questions or concerns, contact Guest Services.
Be aware of where the fire alarm, extinguisher, and exits are located inside and outside of your vacation home.
Make sure you know how to turn off your air conditioner.
Keep your vacation home key card at hand at all times.
Be sure to keep your personal vehicle locked at all times. The Falls Village is not responsible for loss or damage to personal vehicles.
Please observe the posted speed limits at the resort.
Upon arrival, please familiarize your entire party with the nearest fire exits and tornado safety areas.
