Code Adam
Code Adam is a nationally recognized missing child safety program in the United States, and thousands of department stores, retail shops, shopping malls, supermarkets, amusement parks, and museums volunteer in the program. The program was named Code Adam in memory of a young child, Adam Walsh, who in 1981 was abducted from a Sears department store in Florida. Adam’s father is John Walsh, a co-founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and host of the television show “Americas Most Wanted.” Bluegreen is proud to add its name to the long list of those participating.
Your Course of Action
If you believe that your child is missing, do not panic, but do take action immediately. Search the area checking for crawl or hiding places. Children think hiding is a game and hiding places are limitless in the mind of a child.
If you still cannot find your child after a thorough search, call the front desk at Ext. 0 and report him/her missing. You will be asked to provide the following information:
· Your name, unit number and cell phone number
· Child’s name, sex, age, hair color, eye color
· Child’s approximate height and weight
· What the child was wearing (type of clothing, color, shoes, etc.)
· Where your child was last seen
Be prepared to report to the front desk area to provide additional information if needed.
The front desk has already been instructed to immediately announce a Code Adam to the Code Adam Team as soon as they receive the report of a missing child. They will provide the team with all the information you have given them. All associates assigned to the Code Adam Team will immediately stop what they are doing and search for the child.
If the child is not found within 10 minutes of initiating the Code Adam, the front desk will contact local law enforcement and request assistance.
We hope this encounter will never take place, but would like you to know what the appropriate steps to take are, and that Christmas Mountain Village and Bluegreen will be with you every step of the way.
Best wishes for a happy, memorable and safe vacation,
The Management and Staff of Christmas Mountain Village
The Oaks course at Christmas Mountain is our championship 18 that was opened for play in 2000. Measuring 6786 yards from the back tees, this par 72 layout “can go toe-to-toe with any course in the Wisconsin Dells area,” according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The Oaks Course offers “one of the strongest collections of par 4s around” and is “a gift every golfer should get.”
The Pines Course at Christmas Mountain is perfect for golfers of all abilities. This challenging 9 hole layout measures 2881 yards from the back tees but don’t let the yardage fool you. The Pines Course is heavily guarded by towering pine trees throughout this unique and fun layout. New for 2011 was the addition of Family Tees making the Pines Course the perfect place to learn the game – yet still challenging enough for the most experienced golfers!

With summer in Wisconsin comes the threat of severe weather. Although Sauk County and Wisconsin Dells are not “Tornado Alley”, the development of severe storms and tornadoes is a possibility. Christmas Mountain Village has a weather radio at the front desk. In the event of threatening weather, the guests on the resort golf course, public areas and pools are notified and cleared.
Some helpful tips for you to remember while you are enjoying your stay in the area:
When a THUNDERSTORM threatens, be sure to get indoors. Get out of or off of the water; get off of bicycles, golf carts, etc. If you are caught outside, do not get underneath a tall isolated tree. Avoid hilltops or areas that project above the surrounding landscapes. Go to a low-lying area, such as a ravine or valley, if inside shelter is not available. Lightning is a leading killer in storms and strikes tall points and metal objects.
When severe weather is taking place, monitor a radio or TV station for the latest weather information. During severe weather situations the television weather channel will interrupt regular broadcasted shows with updates. TORNADOS are spawned from thunderstorms. There are some changes that generally will accompany a tornado. If these are noticed, it will be appropriate to take shelter. Some things to watch for are large hail, heavy rain, and increased wind speeds (in excess of 60mph).
Severe Weather Shelter Areas
The best place to go for shelter when a tornado warning is issued is the lowest level of a building, such as the basement. It is best if you can get under a structure such as a stairway to protect yourself from falling debris. In cases where a basement is unavailable, go to the lowest level of a building and get into a small room in the middle of the building. These are called “core areas”; examples of these areas would be closets and bathrooms. Most tornado injuries and deaths are a result of flying debris. It is important to stay away from doors and windows.
If you are staying in the Christmas Mountain Campground on an RV or Wilderness Camp site the nearest severe weather shelter is the shower rooms in the clubhouse, RV shower house, and the Wilderness shower house located within the campground. Other areas on property where you may seek shelter include; downstairs of Mulligan’s Bar & Grill, and in the Guest Check-In Building lower level locker rooms.

Dear Resort Guest,
On behalf of the entire resort staff, we are pleased to welcome you to Christmas Mountain Village. We’re delighted you have chosen to share happiness with your loved ones during your stay at this unique resort. We believe in the power of vacation and hope your vacation provides you with many opportunities to share time, smiles and memories with your family and friends.
We hope you’ll take advantage of all the resort has to offer. Tee it up on either of our two on-site golf courses. When the temps and the snow falls, swoosh down the slopes. No matter your interests, our 1,200-acre year-round outdoor paradise is waiting to be explored. While we are proud to offer on-site activities, we know you’ll want to see all the sights the Dells and surrounding areas have to offer.
You can learn more about the golf courses, Mulligan’s menu and specials, the monthly activities schedule at the Clubhouse, weather updates for skiing and. tubing, the resort’s accommodations and other announcements at https://christmasmountainvillage.co/.
Again, we extend our warmest welcome. We know you’ll enjoy the accommodations and all the amenities that Christmas Mountain Village has to offer. Please know that we stand ready to do whatever we can to make your stay enjoyable.
Sincerely,
The Management and Staff of Christmas Mountain Village
