Mountain Run at Boyne™

Air conditioner
Press the On/Off and set to your desired temperature. Do not set the A/C/ temperature below 70º F as it may cause the A/C to stop working. The air conditioner may freeze up and stop working should any doors or windows be left ajar.

Clothes Washer
Washers and dryers are available in your foyer area, these are shared between units. Be careful not to overload the machine. Use one small box of detergent per load. Set load size and desired Wash/Rinse temperatures. Push the knob, scroll to desired settings, then pull the knob to start the wash.

Hemlock Guests Only: For access to the washers/ dryers available in the Hemlock vicinity you must obtain a card from a Guest Services associate upon check-in. The Hemlock laundry facility is centrally located near buildings D & G. For more detailed instructions, please see a Guest Services associate.

Clothes Dryer
Open door and load dryer with clothes, be careful not to overload the machine. Set the dryer and press the start button to begin. Clean the lint trap after each use (lint collector is located on the inside back wall of the dryer).

Dishwasher
Fill main detergent cup located on the side of the front door with dish washing powder or tabs provided and slide closed. Close door and turn button to desired wash. Slide the lever to start the dishwasher. Do not use liquid soap, as this will cause the dishwasher to overflow.

Garbage Disposal (Hemlock Units): Run water and turn on the garbage disposal switch located on the wall behind the sink. Do not put your fingers into the drain/disposal. Do not put metal, glass, bones, tobacco, eggshells or greasy items into the disposal.

Ice Maker
To make ice, place the switch to the on position. Please not that it may take up to an hour for the ice maker to start producing ice as the water needs ample time to freeze. To turn off ice maker, place the switch to the off position.

Iron
Fill with water and turn the knob to the desired temperature. Use the ironing board for all ironing. Do not iron on beds, tables or floor.

Microwave
Do not place cups of water, foil, metal or plastic inside the microwave. Select a temperature between 1 and 11, enter desired minutes and press start. For automatic time, press cook-time, press hour button up/down, and press start time up/down.

Oven
Place food inside on middle rack. (Do not place paper products or plastic inside the oven). Turn knobs to set desired temperature and press start. For timed cook, press cook time, press hour button up/down, and press start time up/down.

Shower
Pull the ring underneath the waterspout and twist to turn the shower on.

Fire Extinguisher
Locate the fire extinguisher in the kitchen closet, mounted on the wall. Pull the pin and squeeze handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.CALL 911

Guest Services is available 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Overnight Security is available 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily.

For articles lost or found, please contact Guest Services.

Mail and Postage
Postage stamps are available for sale at the front desk. Mail may be dropped at the front desk, picked up between 10AM-1PM weekdays.

Wake-Up Service
We provide alarm clocks in your room for your convenience. Please contact the front desk by dialing “0”, for an automated wake-up call.

Transportation
A complimentary shuttle is available through Boyne Mountain from the hours of 8:30am – 9pm on Saturday and Sunday and 8:30am – 5:30pm midweek.  To reach the shuttle operator after these specified times dial 6000 – (0) from your room phone.  Otherwise, the shuttle runs on a circuit and picks up every half an hour on the hour and the 1/2 hour at 4 locations which are marked with a red “shuttle pick up” sign.  Those are located at the top of the clubhouse, building 16, 17 and 21.

Shuttle schedule may vary due to holidays and may also be delayed due to traffic and inclement weather.

Exercise Room
The exercise room is located in the lower level of the clubhouse, open 8am – 10pm daily. Adults only—16 years of age, key access required.

Our Housekeeping Department takes great pride in the quality of their work in your villa. We are dedicated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Your comments are a valuable resource that we use to make sure we are consistently meeting your standards. When you check out we will send a comment card to your email.

If for any reason our cleanliness does not meet your satisfaction, please call us directly at extension 0, so that we may correct any deficiencies.

We do not provide daily housekeeping service. All services are upon request and we ask for a 24 hour notice.

Should you need cleaning during your visit, we offer the following services:

Stayover Clean

Housekeeping will provide a Stayover Cleaning Service for units where guests stay more than six days in the same unit complimentary. Guests staying less than six days requesting this service will incur a $100 onetime fee. A summary of service provided is below:

– Make bed/s with fresh linen

– Clean bathroom/s and replace used terry

– Clean bedroom/s, living and dining room areas

– Clean kitchen area and refresh kitchen towels

– Load dishwasher and start

– Sweep and mop floors

– Dust

– Vacuum

– Refresh guest supplies

– Remove all trash

Midweek Clean

Housekeeping will provide a Mid-Week Service for units where guests stay more than six days in the same unit complimentary. Guests staying less than six days requesting this service will incur a $75 onetime fee. A summary of the service provided is below:

– Re-make beds with existing linens (change if visibly soiled)

– Exchange soiled terry for fresh

– Empty trash cans

– Replenish guest supplies

– Wipe hard surfaces

– Start dishwasher

– Vacuum carpet

Trash and Tidy

Housekeeping will provide a Trash and Tidy Service for units as requested by guests. Guests requesting this service will incur a $15 onetime fee. A summary of the service provided is below:

– Replace soiled terry with fresh terry

– Empty trash cans

Towel Exchange

Guest requesting a onetime towel exchange can call Guest Services at any time during their stay by dialing “0” from their room phone. Housekeeping will drop off fresh terry directly to the unit. This service is complimentary.

Check-in and out information:

Upon check-in, each reservation requires a major credit card or debit card with a $100 incidental hold for charging privileges at Boyne Mountain. Guest Services does not accept cash for the incidental hold.

Check-in: 4 pm or after

Check-out: 10 am or before – There are no cleaning requirements in the unit at departure time.  We simply ask that you call the front desk to let us know that you are departing.

Key Card
Should you lose your Key Card, please notify Guest Services immediately so that your lock may be recoded. For your safety and security, I.D. will be required to have a new key made.

Parking
A complimentary parking pass is available from the concierge for all registered resort guests. The resort cannot be held responsible for items left in vehicles on the property. Boat and trailer parking can be accommodated in our overflow lot located in front of the Preview Center. Please see Guest Services for directions.

Pet Policy
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Mountain Run at Boyne. But we do understand they are like family. Please contact Guest Services for information about pet boarding.

Smoking
We are a nonsmoking resort.

A $300.00 Cleaning Fee will be applied if smell or evidence of smoke or pets is present in unit.

Concierge Service
Personalize your vacation with recommendations and ticket assistance to the best activities and entertainment in town. The concierge is located in the Clubhouse.

Fitness Center
Located in the Clubhouse. Offering a selection of cardiovascular and weight machines to keep you fit for a day at the pool. Consult your physician prior to beginning any exercise program.

Pools/Spa
Our pool and spa is available for year round comfort. Winter Hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Summer Hours 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times. NO lifeguard on duty, so swimming is at your own risk. NO glass in the pool areas please. Pool towels are located to the left of the entrance of the spa room.

Access to the Clock Tower Outdoor Pool at Boyne Mountain Resort is currently unavailable, due to capacity restrictions.

Ice Machine

We have an ice machine that is centrally located in the clubhouse.  Disposable bags are available at the front desk and the ice machine is in the lower level near the vending machines.

BBQ Grills
BBQ grills are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All grills are propane operated are self starters. In the summer you’ll find grills located at the bottom of the Clubhouse and between buildings 14-15, 15-16, 17-18, & 20-21. In the winter months grills are available for use at the lower level of the Clubhouse.

Outdoor Activities (Seasonally Available)
Pitch a game of cornhole, gather up friends for an afternoon of shuffleboard or treat the kids to a day at the playground.

Indoor Activities

We have a limited supply of crafts for kids for those rainy days when you just want to stay in.  Please inquire at the front desk about availability and choices.

Movie Rentals
Popular movies are available to check out and are complimentary.  Limit of 2 per unit at a time.

Board Games
Board games are complimentary and can be taken back to your room. See a Guest Services associate for more details.

WIFI
Complimentary WIFI is available for resort guests in each unit and in our Clubhouse. There is no password required.

On Demand Amenities

For your added convenience we offer on demand amenities that include Crockpots, Pizza Pans, Phone Chargers and Tea Kettles.  There are limited quantities available on a first-come first-serve basis.  Please dial the front desk to have yours delivered directly to your condo.

Inside Your Villa

• Keep the dead bolt locked when inside your villa.
• Do not allow strangers into your villa. If someone’s identity seems suspicious, dial 0 and/or report them to the Resort Manager.
• Never leave your children unattended. Familiarize them with their new surroundings and other safety procedures.
• Make sure to lock your vehicle and take all valuable items inside with you and/or store them in your trunk out of sight. The resort is a “Park at Your Own Risk” property.

Keys

• Keep track of your key(s) by keeping them with you at all times. Do not give your villa keys to others.
• Storage locker keys can be obtained from Guest Services upon check-in.

On and Off the Property

• Never leave your wallet, keys or purse unattended while at the pool.
• Ask our associates for the most direct driving directions when preparing to travel to attractions.
• Instead of carrying cash, use a credit card or traveler’s check when making large purchases. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
• If you see any activity that appears suspicious, please dial 0 and/or report it to Resort Management.
• Pay attention to when and where you are walking or parking. Be aware of your surroundings.

Fire Safety

• Upon arrival please locate your fire extinguisher. It can be found inside your kitchen closet, mounted to the wall.
• Locate the fire alarm and all exits (inside and outside your villa). Make sure everyone in your group knows those locations.
• Familiarize yourself and your group with the resort fire evacuation plan and agree on a meeting place where you can account for everyone in your group. The overflow parking area is recommended.
• Ensure that all Key Card holders keep their cards with them at all times.
• Add the external resort phone number (231.549.5700) to your cellphone contacts.
• To operate the fire extinguisher, pull the pin and squeeze the handle. Spray back and forth in a sweeping motion at the base of the fire.
• First call: The fire department (9 + 911, or 911 on your cellphone).
• Second call: Guest Service desk, ext. 0. Identify yourself and your location and briefly describe the situation.
• If you are in a public area, calmly leave through the nearest exit.
• If you are inside your villa, touch the villa door. If it is hot, DO NOT OPEN IT. If the door is cool, brace your shoulder against the door and open it slowly. Be prepared to close it quickly if flames or smoke are on the other side.
• If you are able to leave your villa, remind everyone of the agreed upon meeting place, take your key, close the door behind you and sound the nearest alarm.
• Use the nearest stairwell or fire exit.
• Crawl or keep low to reduce exposure to odorless carbon monoxide.

If you can not leave your room please follow these steps:

• If neither landlines nor cell service is available, signal to those outside your room that you are inside by hanging a sheet from your balcony handrail.
• Turn off the air-conditioner.
• Place wet sheets around the doorjamb. Block any vents that are emitting smoke.
• Open the windows ONLY if you are certain you are letting in fresh air.
• If the walls are hot, splash them with water. Use your ice bucket to cool them.
• If there is smoke in your villa, stay as low as possible and keep your nose and mouth covered with a wet cloth.
• DO NOT JUMP unless instructed by fire safety officials prepared to catch you. Otherwise continue the actions prescribed above and signal from your window for help.
